How I practice
I trained as a general dentist with the conviction that the best dentistry is the dentistry that does the least possible harm to a patient's natural tissue. I keep current with literature from PubMed, JADA, JDR, and the major endodontic and restorative journals so that every recommendation I make can be traced to a peer-reviewed source. When cosmetic work is the right answer, it is offered with full disclosure of its biological cost. When prevention or a smaller restoration will do, that is what I recommend, even when the patient came in expecting more.
